If it’s the Tencent version, then no, there no way to change to other language other than Chinese i’m afraid. But you i can still buy and play english games
From what I have heard, it’s basically a censored version of normal switch. That mean you can’t use ANYTHING outside the great firewall, I would advice you not to get it.
I currently have the same problem. Is there anyway to change the system or reflash it to a different country.
I brought my nintendo from the official nintendo store on Taobao. After receiving the unit i quickly found out that i could not change the system language.
I then contacted customer support for an alternative or to return the unit but they refuse to help me under the policy that because i opened the box the unit cannot be returned.
Therefore, i am currently stuck with a nintendo switch that cannot change language, cannot access the global estores or play multiplayer with people outside of china (apparently).
